Vacation: Day 1-
I am really looking forward to getting away with my better half for some adult time on spring break (my kids are off with their Dad for break). With all the stresses of life, this is welcomed time.
As regimented as I am at home with my menu’s and workouts, usually, the first couple of days, I’m like a kid in a candy store on vacation ( I know I’m supposed to be a role model…but I like to cut loose sometimes. I just find a balance by continuing to do workout while gone. If we are going to a place that doesn’t have that available, then I’ll just walk outside and take my bands and water –fill weights in my bag. Doing this keeps my body feeling good, and I don’t’ gain so much weight on vacation that it takes the fun out of the time off when I get home. Also I love that alone time in the mornings whether I’m at home or away. I’m communicating to me that I do the exercise just for ME).
I’ll be honest about what I eat on this trip, but I’m not even going to try to do the calories. Let’s see how I feel by the end of the week. Sunshine here we come!
